Vanity, though being the usual reason especially for women, is not the only reason for dreading aging but also the usual signs that go with it such as loss of vigor and increased risks with age-related diseases. Wrinkles, deteriorating memory, osteoporosis and health-related cardiovascular diseases are just some of these. An option is to age gracefully and healthy with an anti aging diet.
Healthy aging is not remote. Drastic procedures like cosmetic surgeries can yield fast results but involves too much risks and expense. It is sometimes mind-boggling why many women go to such dangerous extents when there are natural, easy and inexpensive ways to delay aging like adhering to a healthy anti aging diet.
A good anti aging diet must have a balanced servings of:
Carbohydrates as a source of energy. Preferable are those types with low glycemic index and with soluble fiber. Whole grains like oats, rice and fruits like the super fruit avocado are good sources.
Proteins coming from quinoa, legumes like nuts and beans are super healthy.
From fish, poultry, and vegetable oils like avocado and olive oils come the best possible sources of monounsaturated fats that can promote efficient metabolism. Eggs are good sources of fats and proteins but must not be consumed daily.
Water in sufficient quantity must be taken in for normal processes to take place.
There are also foods that can be ideally taken twice or thrice a week only:
Deep sea cold-water fishes are good sources of protein and omega-3 fatty acid. Coming from such environment, these are generally loaded with fats.
Free range poultry are generally lean with all the movements and organic too and are good sources of organic proteins, fats and eggs too.
Red meat is a remarkable source of fats. This is recommended to be part of the diet for at most twice a week only for just enough fats and protein and a taste of it.
Sweets as tempting as they are cannot be served for more than once a week. Healthy sources of sweets may be used as a foundation for desserts or cooking like honey or fruits.
Equally important is knowledge of what not to eat like trans fatty acids, sugars, and starches and what to avoid like stress, ultraviolet light, and a weakened immune system. Sticking to a healthy anti aging diet is the best way to go through the process but which will involve conscious, serious efforts for a graceful aging to be attained.
