If so that is a very unique talent that you should be proud of…but even if you are not particularly talented in this way you can still try to be and raise some money for a good cause. The activity we know affectionately as Red Nose Day is the primary way in which an organization called “Comic Relief” raises money to help unfortunate people. Simply enough, you get sponsors and take donations to do something funny and give this money to help others. This whole day culminates in a tv show in the UK that starts in the evening and ends up in the wee hours of the morning. Many famous celebrities and stand-up comics have given there precious time and support for this television show. The very first Red Nose Day was held all the way back on February 5, 1988, and since that date it has been held on either the 2nd or 3rd Friday in March.

So, at this point you might be wondering just what you can possibly do that is fun and unique and will raise money. Here are a few simple suggestions to help get you started…

• Why not go to your work or school wearing a silly wig with that signature red nose?
• Wear some funny “false teeth” around for the day.
• Get sponsored to stop talking for the whole day.
• Have a car wash and raise some money.
• Get sponsored to give up some tasty desserts for the day.
• Why not sponsor a singalong night and sell tickets to people?
• How about organizing a bake sale and raise some money?
