Many people have raised questions if soundproofing paint would really work for soundproofing rooms in their home. Many marketers have claimed that this product would work very well just like other soundproofing techniques on the market, that they easy to apply and can be a fun DIY project for homeowners. They work by absorbing sounds thus reducing sounds and improving sound quality in the room. The truth is, soundproofing paints have very little effect in soundproofing any rooms, so they might not be the best solution if you are looking to 100% soundproof rooms in your home.

However, people often apply soundproofing paints, hoping that it will improve sounds in their rooms by absorbing echoes and sound waves. In fact, cheap egg carton soundproofing technique, would actually work better than soundproofing paints. Most people do not know how sound deadening paint works.

Soundproofing paint is definitely not one of the best methods available in soundproofing rooms. Imagine the work and time you will have to put into applying all the coats needed to get. As you apply more and more coats, they will build up a thick texture, thus you will not get smooth looking walls you wanted.

They also come with very few color selections as demand is very low. Common colors are gray, white and tans making it difficult if you prefer rooms in different colors.
